Pirates :)

Hi everyone! So today my mani is dedicated to someone I met back in grade 5. She is one heck of a girl! I absolutely love her!! AND HER NAME RHYMES WITH BANANA! How much more awesome could she get? Well, I'll tell you! Her name is Rosanna(BANANA) Lam. She is someone that I know I can always talk to when I'm feeling down. She is an AMAZING artist, I WISH i was even half as good as her!! I also blame her for my nail polish addiction LOL. You see, it started off as me HATING nail polish... I KNOW RIGHT? unbeleiveable!! But anyway, one day my cousin was over n wanted to get a manicure, so we headed over to Rosannas moms shop, and I decided since Banana was working, I may as well get one too. She chose the color for me, a bright blue and I, for the first time, LOVED it!! And thats when the addiction began!
(Banana and I on our grad)

So anyway, I dedicate this mani to Rosanna because it is based on a memory we share of going to the movies a few times to watch Pirates Of The Caribbean. We both absolutely love the movie, and had had some fun times at the theatres. Haha, I remember going to watch the second one and i kept telling her that jack sparrow was SOOO hot! and she stared at me and thought i was a weirdo! Also that day when we stood in line for 2 or 3 hours on the opening night to see At Worlds End. Oh the crazy things I do with you banana! Your are such an awesome friend to hang out with and I'm so glad that we've kept our friendship alive for so long! So heres to you Rosanna!!!

To create this mani I used the following colors
Finger Paints: Putty In My Hands
Wet and Wild: Saved By The Blue
Opi: Suzi Loves Cowboys
Revlon: Revlon Red
Sinful Colors: Lagoon
Color Club: Steele This Look
Color Club: You're Golden
Wet and Wild: The Gold and the Beautiful
So Easy Stripe Rite: In Black and White

I Hope you all enjoyed this mani, especially you Rosanna!! I LOVE YOU<3

Orly Space Cadet

Hi everyone!! Today I'm gonna show you one of my new polishes :) I bought it online a while ago and I just got it last week! And OMG. It Comes from the Orly Cosmic FX collection of Fall 2010, which consists of mixes of rock, crystal, and glass to create an AMAZING Duochrome effect. I hear it is an EXACT dupe of MAC Mean&Green, so I think this would be the cheaper alternative. The color is a duochrome from green, to a goldy copper, to a maroony purple. It is freaking GORGEOUS. I know i say this in pretty much all of my blogs but this really is my new FAVORITE polish!! Enjoy!!!

(Sorry for the side ways pics, idk how to flip them)

FREAKING GORGEOUS RIGHT? This is a polish that I believe EVERYONE should have!! It is very easy to apply, but very sheer, so its a good idea to use something as a base. In these pictures I used Pure Ice's Black Rage as a base and it looks awesome!! The only thing I don't like about this polish is that it takes a while to remove because it is made of fine glitters, but thats with any glitter polish so ill let it slide :P Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this as much as I did!

ps; sorry about the chips at the bottom of the nails, they chipped while I was at work!

Kimba Inspired Mani Pt2

HI all!!!! So, like i said in the previous post, I am doing best friend inspired nails, and that since ive been such good friends with Kimba, I can't just do one mani, so I'm doing a few based on her! Now, this newest mani is based on a song that we had to play in band back when we were in grade 7. The song is called "Dr.ROCKenstein" and is written by Steve Hodges. Unfortunately, I was unable to find ANY information on this song at all, so I had to just do whatever came to mind! I used to spend a lot of time at kimbas house back in the day, so whenever we had just finished eating lunch, we would wash the dishes together and sing this song! " do do do do.. DOOOOOOOOOOO do do do do." LOL it was so awesome! Anyway, its another crazy memory that comes to mind when i think of kim, hope you enjoy!

To create this mani I used the following polishes:
Revlon: Midnight Affair
Revlon: Garden
Revlon: Sparkle
So Easy Stripe Rite: Black
So Easy Stripe Rite: White
Art Club By Color Club: Steele This Look

And there you have it, another mani inspired by the lovely, Kimba!

Kimba Nails Pt.1

Hello there everyone! So, from my last two blogs you can see that I am currently doing best friend manis. This mani is dedicated to my dear friend Kimberly Low. Kimba has been one of my most awesomest friends since... well I cant even remember when!! I think it was either sometime around kindergarden or grade 2 when i first met her, and we have been such great friends ever since! Kimberly, to me, is something I call a 'Forever Friend', meaning no matter what happens, we will always be friends forever<3. I am complete serious about this! Kimba and I have lost touch so many times! But in the end we always find a way back to each other! She is someone who I can always count on and she know she can always count on me:)
(kim wished to stay anonymous so i put a pic of KIMBA the white lion up :D )

Anyway, because Kim is such a wonderful friend and we've had wayy too many awesome memories together over the past few years, I can not only do one mani to represent her! So, I will be doing multiple manis based on kimba and will probably be scattered through out the year! This mani that I did today is based on a real awesome memory, we were walking home from school one day, talking about random things and we started to stare at the clouds while walking. Suddenly Kimba screamed out " LOOK! Theres a mouse in the sky!!!!!!" and I replied " WHAT? WHERE?" thinking there was actually a mouse in the sky! It was one of those real stupid/funny/you had to be there moments! haha but anyway, its one of those memories i look back on and laugh :)
I'm really sorry about the messyness and the bleeding of the colors, i was using a different topcoat and it made it bleed, i think it worked well for the clouds, but it kinda wrecked the mouse face :(

To create this mani I used the following colors:
Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Extreme Wear: Blue Me Away
My Franken: Elephant Store
So Easy Stripe Rite: Black
So Easy Stripe Rite: White
China glaze: Sun Worshipper

Anyway, I hope you liked this mani, and the many more to come! Kimba I love you, you're awesome!

Dirty DIANA!

Hi everyonee!!! So, I've decided that my next few manis are going to be inspired by my best friends! This new mani is dedicated to my friends VERNISHA CHAND! Now you may remember that I mentioned her in my MAC bad fairy post. Vernisha is one of the most sweetest and most caring people i know! She is always there for me when I need her and she is one person I can truly be myself in front of. I am so greatful that i met her back in grade 9!
Now, I dont know how to explain this mani to you all. Vernisha is a dear friend, and I dont want you all to think she is dirty. LOL. I guess what I am trying to say is that this mani is based on an inside joke we have. I like to bug her once in a while and call her "Dirty Vernisha" . No, she is not a groupie like Dirty Diana, but I like to call her one anyway! LOL. She is one of the most amazing people i know, the song "Dirty Diana" well suits her awesomeness, I mean come on, the song was by MICHAEL JACKSON< he was pretty darn awesome himself.! So heres to you Vernisha!

Im sorry for the picture overload! I tried to get as much holoness as i could!!

For this mani I used the following colors:
Pure Ice: Black Rage
Make Up Store: Greta
Finger Paints: Romanticism Ruby
Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen: Red
So Easy Stripe Rite Brush: Black
And there you have it, another mani inspired by my bestie, I love you Vernisha! <3

BANANAS IN PAJAMAS!

Hello everyone! Today my manicure is dedicated to one of my best friends. She is someone that I can always count on to bring a smile to my face when Im feeling down. And even though we can go weeks, even months without talking, i know she will always be there! She is a true bestfriend and I am SO lucky to have someone as fun and as amazing as her in my life!
 (Daljinder and me!)
NO, she is not a banana. We used to watch an AWESOME show when we were kids called "Bananas In Pajamas". It was about two twin banana brothers named "B1" and "B2" that would always some awesome adventures. Anyway, we loved the show so much as kids that one day we decided that since were such good friends, almost sisters, we would call each other B1 and B2, Daljinder(my best friend) being B1 and me being B2. So thats why I dedicate this mani to her!

To create this mani I used the following colors:
Sally Hansen Insta-Dry : Lightening
So Easy Stripe Rite: White
So Easy Stripe Rite: Black
Sinful Colors Nail Art brush: Lagoon
Wet n Wild: Saved by the Blue
Opi: You Don't Know Jaques!

And there you have it! My mani inspired by my bestie, Daljinder Bhullar, I love you!!

PS; I'd like to thank my wonderful friend KATY FITCHETT, because if it wasn't for her, i wouldnt have done this mani. You see, i first thought of doing this mani because i was missing my friend and i thought of this as a way to represent her in a mani, but then i had doubts because i didnt want to go out in public and have random ppl look at me like im weird for having a childrens tv show themed nails, but then i started talking to katy and she convinced me to just do them on one hand and post a pic and just say it was my little cousins nails or something! haha i didnt lie to you guys about it being my cousins hand though, haha this is MY HAND and i am PROUD OF IT! haha but thanks kootoo!

MAC BAD FAIRY!

OMG! Hi everyone! So, I wanted to do a blog about my new FAVORITE NAIL POLISH! It is called Bad Fairy by MAC, and it is also from the Venomous Villains collection, and all I have to say is WOW, this is one of the most amazing nail polishes that I own, it is simply amazing!!! Like seriously I am speechless! The color is a redish-copperish-maroon type of color and has a goldy duochrome effect. I bought this online off ebay for around $48. Now you can call me crazy but I think that this was money WELL SPENT! SOO worth it in the end!! It is very sheer, so you would have to put more than one coat, in this blog i put on 3 coats, but if if you'd  like you can use any similar color as a base first and just use one or two coats. The thing about this polish is that it takes a while to dry, so if you want to use it you must be patient! I will now be posting pictures below, beware of the picture overload, lol I just wanted you to see as many pictures as u can of this amazingness you are about to witness! I warn you, these pictures are filled with COMPLETE AWESOMENESS, and you may need to buy this product or anything like it asap, hah that being said, here they are! enjoy!!

this is one coat, very sheer, but it gets better i promise!!

this is two coats of Bad Fairy, looking pretttyyy ;)

and this is 3 coats of Bad fairy, SOO gorgeous! absolutely loving the color!

And NOW, the pictures you have all been waiting for!! THE DUO-CRAZINESSS!

WOOOOWWWZAAA!!! Freaking AMAZING RIGHT!?!??!! You MUST get this if you are in love with duochromes, this is absolutely amazing!! This polish is very easy to apply, but does take a while to dry, it also does have fine glitters in it making it a little extra work to remove, but well worth it!! I really hope you enjoyed this post and that you like this color enough to buy for yourself! Thanks <3

MAC Formidable!

Hi everyone! So a while ago I ordered  a polish by MAC called Formidable. It comes from the Venomous Villains collections which is inspired by the Disney lady villains! Of course seeing as it has to do with disney i HAD to get it!! Unfortunately, when this collection came out, i hadnt had my nail polish addiction, so now the only way for me to get it is on ebay and pay a gajillion dollars for it lol!! The collection comes with only 3 colors, Formidable, Bad Fairy, and Mean&Green. I have both Formidable and Bad Fairy, but unfortunately can not find Mean&Green ANYWHERE! Although I hear it is almost an EXACT dupe of Space Cadet by Orly, so i just got Space Cadet. If any of you can get your hands on Mean&Green, let me know!!! I just received this polish today, even though it arrived weeks ago, it has been sitting at my best friend Vernishas house, THANK YOU VERNISHA FOR LETTING ME HOARD NAIL POLISH AT YOUR HOUSE BECAUSE MY PARENTS WILL KILL ME IF THEY FIND OUT I HAVE NAIL POLISH ARRIVING FOR ME TWO OR THREE TIMES A WEEK! LOL! Only a best friend would let you hoard nail polish at their house for months!!<3 Hahah! anyway, to get to the point of my post, I wanted to show you what Formidable looks like!! and YES, it is a DUOCHROME<3 Beware of picture overload in this post!!
This is one coat of Formidable, very sheer with a dark plum tint to it.
2 coats of Formidable, starting to look amazing!!
3 coats of Formadable, looking gorgeous!!
And now, time for the DUO-GOODNESS!!

HOLY DAMN!! FREAKING AMAZING RIGHT!! Its SOOOO PRETTY!! I am SO IN LOVE with this polish!!!! My camera cant even capture its gorgeousness!!! It looks so much more amazing in person! To those of you who don't have this polish, YOU MUST GET IT! If you are not willing to pay as much as I did for it, you should go for the Orly version of it!! It is very easy to apply. It does consist of fine glitters, meaning it would really be a huge pain in the butt to take off with nail polish remover, but seeing as how beautiful it is, I think its well worth it! Anyway, I hope this helps for those of you contemplating on buying it!

PS; sorry for the messy cuticles, i was just SO excited to show you guys!
